THE NEW ZEALAND CAMPUS
The Liger Leadership Academy New Zealand campus will include boarding facilities for domestic and international students, educators and mentors; a science lab; a library; breakout rooms; a gym; dining halls; common areas; and community facilities such as a makerspace and auditorium.
Equally important to Liger is the outdoor space of the campus. Queenstown was selected as the location for Liger’s first boarding school to allow students to take advantage of the area’s landscape in the academic and recreational fields.
DAY STUDENTS
For those who live in the region, the Liger Academy will offer a day programme. We expect these students to be on site during school hours and are welcome to stay into the evening for extra curricular activities and socialisation.
BOARDING STUDENTS
The Liger model thrives when students are fully immersed in our model and culture. For this reason, it was designed to be a boarding programme. Our boarding facilities in Queenstown will emphasise social spaces and aim to provide a purpose environment to give students the best chance to thrive.
Set amongst the backdrop of Otago, New Zealand, we will utilise the incredible natural landscape of our place to support evening and weekend activities. Outdoor sports and recreation in both warmer and colder months will be crucial to the live-in model.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Liger Leadership Academy New Zealand will be a signatory of the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice. This means we will be able to accept students from countries around the world. Our international students will stay in our boarding facilities and receive an internationally competitive education.
ONE YEAR STUDY ABROAD
Liger Leadership Academy will offer a one-year immersive programme designed for international Year 11 students seeking a unique opportunity to develop entrepreneurship and leadership skills. This programme will combine Liger’s innovative curriculum with New Zealand’s outstanding natural landscape and opportunities. Students will acquire the skills necessary to become natural leaders in their local communities, countries, and the world.
