Today, at our end of week assembly, Max and Shira announced to our learners that they will be leaving the Liger Academy at the end of this term.

While the departure of Max and Shira will undoubtedly leave all of us with a heavy heart, it provides us with an opportunity to reflect on the immeasurable impact they have both had on our learners, our culture, and the Liger Academy as a whole.

Max’s history of being a part of the team to build the foundations of the original Liger Leadership Academy, paired with Shira’s expertise as an amazing educator in her own right, was integral to building the momentum we see in the Liger Academy today.

Now, as we begin to say our goodbyes to Max and Shira, we are left with wonderful memories, as well as the lasting legacy they will surely leave behind.

We wish them all the best as they move on to their next adventure in San Francisco (fortunately in time for the US school year to start!), we will undoubtedly be checking in on them both and can’t wait for their next visit.

Over the next few weeks if you happen to see Max and Shira, we encourage you to wish them luck and say your farewells. Rest assured that the Academy can’t wait to share with you what comes next as we fill these (albeit large!) shoes.
