What does being a non-profit school mean?
That 100% of our tuition fees and community donations go towards furthering the education of our learners. The Liger Leadership Academy’s charity registration number is: CC58288
What qualifications will Liger Learners leave with?
Our school offers the New Zealand curriculum, which culminates in the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA). Our expectation is that all of our learners will gain University Entrance (UE). Most importantly, students will leave the Liger Leadership Academy with critical leadership competencies to best prepare them for the 21st century.
Is Liger a STEM school?
Liger Leadership Academy is not strictly a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) school, however we are STEM heavy. Our learning model is project based, and our projects are interdisciplinary, we believe that to best acquire leadership skills, school should not be subject-bound. We want our learners to be well rounded and creative, as well as intelligent.
What are the fees to attend?
The fees to the Liger Leadership Academy are set at $25,000 per year. Throughout the application process, we discuss fees with prospective parents. The Liger Leadership Academy provides a generous scholarship scheme to ensure an equitable cohort of students. For students beginning school in 2023, their tuition until graduating Liger Leadership Academy will be reduced to $15,000 per annum. The Academy encourages parents of all students to apply, further scholarships are available for those who qualify.
