Part of our recruitment process for interested young people is for them to experience Liger Learning © with our facilitators, as well as our current learners, for an entire day. This is to introduce students to our educational model, where they spend time on a mini-Exploration, a STEM Essentials course, and an Expertise module.

We are now inviting students currently in years 7, 8, and 9 located in the Whakatipu Basin to join us for a day - if your child would like to attend one of these Discovery Days, please fill out an expression of interest form and we will be in touch shortly after to coordinate.

LIGER LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

The Liger Leadership Academy is for young people from years 8-13 who have the potential to become New Zealand’s future entrepreneurs and leaders who will contribute positively to the country and the world.

The first stage of the admissions process is to complete an ‘expression of interest’ form. One of our team will then get in touch with you to explain our criteria, timelines and process. Admission to the Discovery Club does not guarantee placement into the full Academy programme.

The admissions process includes:

Interviews with the student and their parents/caregivers

Placement assessments

Submission of supporting materials (i.e. school reports, referees)

SCHOLARSHIPS

Liger Leadership Academy operates entirely on a not for profit basis.

However, we note that financial means should not be a barrier to the right students to attend either the Liger Discovery Club or the full Liger Leadership Academy programme.

Discussions regarding scholarships will take place on a case-by-case basis for students who are offered entrance. We hope to partner with other organisations that share our vision in order to expand our scholarships programme over time and ensure our ongoing sustainability.
